Machine Vision Robot
In the process of working on my digital controls projects, I was given the option of working on robotics for a combined “Digital Controls / Machine Vision” semester long project. The uniqueness of this project is that we will be controlling the entire contraption from Matlab.
We are taking the stingray robotics platform from Parallax and mounting several Arduino platforms on top. We are using a wireless camera to capture images into matlab and process them for path detection. We are a USB tether to transfer information between the Arduino and Matlab. Based on the value we send, the left and right wheels move at relative speeds.
